Summary
Gustav Stesemann took control of Weimar Germany in 1923, and during his rule he brought in a new form of currency called the Retenmark. It was designed to help stop with hyper-inflation in Germany. Stresemann used the Dawes Plan to pay help Germany pay war reparations to France and Britain. The American's paid money directly to the German government to allow them to invest in Germany Industry, which in turn strengthened the German economy and helped them to pay off their debts.
