As Henry Ford began to produce automobiles, he also created the assembly line. As a result mass production of automobiles had been made possible, and with a higher supply the price of cars decreased. Overall the automobile industry was able to be much more efficient in producing cars, because of technology. Most manufacturing took place in Detroit, Michigan. By 1927 there was a total of 15 million cars in the USA, and as the years passed this number increased.
