At the end of World War II Korea was divided between the United States and Russia along the 38th parallel. Shortly after, war broke out between North and South Korea in 1950 and conflict see sawed back and forth. The turning point of this battle happened at Inchon Landings where the Chinese Army sent about a million troops to aid the North. In addition, General MacCarthur the leader of the United Nations sent a number of allied countries to help the war effort in the North.
