Summary
Prior to the Israeli War of Independance the persecution of jews plus the holocaust lead to many leaving Israel, while the Arab League was formed in 1945. The Brits eventually fell out of favor with the Jewish people as a homeland had not been created as promised with the Zionist movement, and the issue was given over to the UN in 1947. A partition is suggested, and while the Jewish people are content the Arabs become enraged. Subsequently, Arabic Radicals attacked the Jews throughout 1947, and during the same period David Ben-Gurion is elected as the Prime Minister after attacking countries of the Arab League. Surprisingly, the Jews win the war in 1948 and increase their previous territory, all of which is then traded for peace. Lastly, many Palestinians become refugees and terrorist attacks were launched in Israel by the Palestinian people.
